Communicating the art of mud houses, the award winning design of Parkwood estate is a fine example of sustainable, vernacular and contemporary architecture.
The project houses 6 villas and 18 apartments with a commercial building and swimming pool. Use of old wood of railway sleepers gives the buildings an antique look. The site planning has been done in accordance to the hilly terrain with two story villas at lower terrain and multistoried apartments at the higher level. Central park has been proposed to offer open space to each building block and also to merge with the landscaping surroundings. Outer building envelop is designed to provide maximum insulation to interior space. Buildings oriented to gain maximum solar light and energy. Selection of green building materials like AAC blocks, UPVC widows etc. STP for sewerage treatment & proper disposal of solid wastes is being used. Moreover addition of elements like swimming pool, gymnasium, shops, food court, play area etc. makes it a complete residential complex.
