SJVNL, a mini ratna PSU implemented 412 MW Rampur Hydro project. The project is immediately downstream of and in cascade operation with 1500 MW NJHP. There was requirement of Office and Field Hostel to House the staff of the project.
The field hostel is designed in L-shaped building with landscaped lawn in front. Most of rooms facing landscaped lawn and sun direction. Exterior of building was cladded in gharsa slate stone & wooden planks to give it traditional kathakuni look. Roof of the building designed in traditional and stepped form to complement the natural topograohy of the site.
The office building is designed in Y shape with central hexagonal atrium. Central atrium house the model of the project. Office designed to complement the hierarchy of staff. The three wings of y shaped plan are centrally connected with atrium. Exterior of building was cladded in gharsa slate stone & wooden planks to give it traditional kathakuni look. Roof of the building designed in traditional and stepped form to complement the natural topograohy of the site.
Exterior of the building is cladded with white gharsa slate. Architectural element of bay window and balcony flank the front façade of the building. Laminated wooden flooring add to the warmth of interior. Natural wood Almira, beds and other furniture add grace to the interior. The building is fitted with solar water heating system & rain harvesting system.
