Radisson Hotel is located at Kufri, near Shimla on Kufri Bye Pass Road. Kufri is a popular tourist destination. Snowfall, Lush green devdar forests, horse riding and adventure sports are key attraction to Kufri. The resort has been constructed by Radisson Hotel Group. on a land of nearly 11 bighas(8250 sq.m). Now the resort has franchise with famous hotel chain of Radison.
In first phase 70 guest room, reception lobby, restaurant, bar, conference hall and recreational area is constructed in two building blocks. Cottages are proposed in 2nd phase. The site was challenging due to its steep slope and climate. Reverse counterfort walls were constructed to build the approach road. Since the site is north sloping and the climate is very cold, Floor heating system has been provided in guest rooms & common areas. Solar Water heating system has been installed over roof to reduce energy consumption.
Open Space between two building blocks is provided to serve as lawn and activity space during large gathering. Rain harvesting system of more than 5 lac ltr capacity has been designed in the project. Most of the guest rooms are facing valley view and snow clad Mountain View.
